Cordon Bleu or Chicken Cordon Bleu is a type of chicken dish usually with a sauce. It is made with chicken breast and filled with a slice of ham and cheese and then covered in breadcrumbs and fried.

Cordon bleu was invented in Switzerland, about the 1940s. It was first mentioned in a cookbook from 1949.
