Coyoacán (US: /ˌkɔɪoʊəˈkɑːn/ KOY-oh-ə-KAHN,[3][4] Spanish: [koʝoaˈkan] (listen)) is a municipality (alcaldía) of Mexico City. In 1928, the borough was created when the Federal District was divided into sixteen boroughs.
Coyoacán is a Sister City of Arlington County, Virginia, United States. It has also been a sister city of Clifden, County Galway, Ireland since 2012.
