Coyoacán (US: /ˌkɔɪəˈkɑːn/ KOY-oh-ə-KAHN,[3][4] Spanish: [koʝoaˈkan] (audio speaker iconlisten)) is a municipality (alcaldía) of Mexico City. In 1928, the borough was created when the Federal District was divided into sixteen boroughs.
