Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell, known simply as Jane Russell (June 21, 1921 - February 28, 2011)[1] was an American actress, born in Minnesota. She starred in almost two dozen films throughout her career, most notably The Outlaw (1943) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), the latter of which she appeared in alongside Marilyn Monroe. Later in life, she starred in Company on Broadway. Russell died in Santa Maria, California of a respiratory related illness.[2]
