Jean Lyndsey Torren Marsh (1 July 1934 – 13 April 2025) was an English actress and screenwriter who appeared mostly on television.

Marsh co-created and starred in the television series Upstairs, Downstairs, and created The House of Elliot.[1] She also starred in Doctor Who, and appeared in many other series, and in films. She got an Emmy Award for the Outstanding Lead Actress for the role of the parlourmaid Rose Buck in Upstairs, Downstairs.

Marsh died on 13 April 2025 in London, England from problems caused by dementia at the age of 90.[2]
