JetBlue Airways is an American low-cost airline owned by JetBlue Airways Corporation. The company is headquartered in Long Island City, a neighborhood in New York City. [1] Its main base is John F. Kennedy International Airport.

In 2001, JetBlue began a focus city operation at Long Beach in Los Angeles County, California, which was stopped in 2020 as the airline shifted flights to Los Angeles. Another base was opened at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts in 2004. Another important city to the JetBlue network is its focus city at Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport. JetBlue has also established focus city presence in San Juan, Los Angeles International Airport, and Orlando International Airport. The airline mainly serves destinations in the United States, along with flights to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Mexico. In 2021, the airline launched service to Europe starting with London Heathrow Airport. Flights to Europe now include Heathrow along with London Gatwick, Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Flights start from both John F. Kennedy Airport in New York as well as Boston using A321neo and A321neo LR aircraft. As of 2025, JetBlue has 286 airplanes, with 101 on order, and flies to 114 cities. [2]
