Kenneth Noland (April 10, 1924 – January 5, 2010) was an American abstract painter.
He was first an expressionist abstract painter, in the 1950s, and after, a minimalist painter, in the 1960s. He became one of the best-known American painters in the abstract style of color field. He helped in the creation of the Washington Color School movement.
