A Leek is a vegetable. It belongs to the genus Allium. This is the same genus as an onion and garlic. It can be used for cooking. They usually come in a cylinder-like body and they are tall and skinny.
Leeks take around 100 to 120 days to grow and they are mainly harvested in Europe or Asia. They are planted in deep holes to protect them from sun. The soil is required to be fertile and allows water to travel without crating puddles or drain to quickly.
