Leroy Anderson (/ləˈrɔɪ/ lə-ROY) (June 29, 1908 – May 18, 1975) was an American composer. He was known for writing short, light concert pieces, many of which were for the Boston Pops Orchestra.
John Williams called him "one of the great American masters of light orchestral music."[1]
