Linear combination

In math, a linear combination is the sum of multiplying each value in a set by a constant.

Example

For a set ${\displaystyle \{x,y\}}$, the linear combination can be anything in the pattern ${\displaystyle a*x+b*y}$.

In this example, ${\displaystyle a}$ and ${\displaystyle b}$ are the constants.
