Lurs (also Lors, Luri/Persian: لُر) are an Iranian ethnic group who speak the Luri language and live mainly in the mountainous regions of southwestern Iran. Their population is estimated at nine million and they mainly inhabit the Lorestan province located in southwest Iran. The vast majority of Lurs are Shia Muslim.
