Mamou is a region in the center of Guinea. It is bordered by the country of Sierra Leone and the Guinean regions of Faranah, Labé, and Kindia. The regional capital is the city of Mamou. As of the 2014 census, 732,117 people lived there. It has an area of 17.074 km2 (6.592 sq mi).
