Mark Benton

Mark Benton (born 16 November 1965) is an English actor and television presenter. He is best known for portraying the roles of Martin Pond in Barbara (1999–2003), Eddie in Early Doors (2003–2004), Howard in Northern Lights (2006), and Daniel "Chalky" Chalk in the BBC school-based drama series Waterloo Road (2011–2014). In 2013, Benton took part in Strictly Come Dancing and in 2015, he hosted daytime game show The Edge.
