Mike Resnick

Michael Diamond Resnick (/ˈrɛznɪk/; March 5, 1942 – January 9, 2020) was an American science fiction writer under the name Mike Resnick. He won five Hugo Awards. He was executive editor of Jim Baen's Universe. Resnick was born in Chicago. He was best known for his novellas The Goddess of Ganymede, Stalking the Unicorn and Kirinyaga.

Resnick was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma in November 2019.^[1] He died from the disease at a hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 9, 2020 at the age of 77.^[2]
