The Narendra Modi Stadium (formerly: Motera Cricket Stadium) is a cricket stadium inside the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad, India. It is the largest stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of 132,000 people. The stadium is owned by the Gujarat Cricket Association.[1]
The stadium was constructed in 1983 and then renovated in 2006.[2]
On 24 February 2021, the stadium was renamed as the Narendra Modi Stadium by the Gujarat Cricket Association after Prime Minister Narendra Modi.[3]
The stadium hosted the final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup on 19 November.[4]
