News from Nowhere is a novel by William Morris describing the main character time traveling in his sleep and wakes up to find himself in a magical utopia based on common ownership and democratic control of the means of production. This land is anarchist with no government, no form of money, and no major cities (just idyllic villages). marriage, divorce, social ranks and prisons would not exist. The agrarian society described in the book functions because the people find pleasure in nature and their work.
