Ordinary Time

Ordinary Time is a season (split in two) of the Christian liturgical year in which no major holidays occur. The time between Christmas and Lent is labeled as ordinary, and the time between Pentecost and Advent is labeled ordinary as well. In this context, "ordinary" means counted.
