Queen Esther whose name was originally Hadassah is a woman from the Book of Esther. She was the cousin and ward of Mordecai and was married to Ahaseurus. Haman didn't like that Mordecai didn't bow before him. This makes Haman plan to kill all the Jews in Persia. Esther stops the plan by telling Ahaseurus about Haman's plan, which gets Haman executed.[1]
