In communication a receiver is used for the reception of message or data signals. A receiver can be of any type such as rhombic, yaguida, parabolic etc. It is a device that is designed to receive the signals which are in the form of both electric and electromagnetic form. Receiver is simply a transducer that is an energy converter which converts received electromagnetic signals into electrical signals.
