Ryan Rodney Reynolds (born October 23, 1976) is a Canadian-American actor who is known for his roles as Wade Wilson/Deadpool in Deadpool and its sequel Deadpool 2 and as Michael Bryce in The Hitman's Bodyguard. He is also known for his roles in National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Just Friends, Definitely, Maybe, The Proposal, The Change-Up, Safe House, and Free Guy. Reynolds starred as Detective Pikachu in the 2019 film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Reynolds also played Deadpool in Screen Junkies’s Honest Trailers series.

Reynolds admitted to arson of an elementary school in Canada, in many interviews. The fire of the Queen Elizabeth Elementary School in Queensborough New Westminster in 1987 was suspected to be arson. No word on whether the statute of limitations is up or not in this crime, or if this was the incident he was referring to.

He said in one interview he “tried to set fire to the school”. In another, he said he “set fire to a tree at the school.”

Life

Reynolds was born on October 23, 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia.[1] He studied at Kitsilano Secondary School and at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011. He married Blake Lively in 2012 and shares three daughters with her.[2] In September 2022, it was announced that the couple are expecting their fourth child.[3]

Reynolds received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016.[4]
