Sandbox video games are a form of video game that implements a "sandbox" design. These games are usually open world games, but some like Universe Sandbox or Totally Accurate Battle Simulator are not open world. A few examples of this design concept are Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft, Second Life. There are also games dedicated to sandboxes for scientific purposes.
