Early life

DelBene worked at Microsoft before she was a politician.^[1]

Political career

DelBene has been a member of the United States House of Representatives since 2012.^[2]

She first tried to be elected as a Representative in 2010 but lost.^[3]

She won the 2012 Representative elections. She also won the race to finish Jay Inslee's term in the House. Jay Inslee decided to leave early.^[4] She is a member of the Democratic Party, and she represents part of Washington state.

Personal life

DelBene was born in Selma, Alabama.^[5] She went to college at Reed College. Later, she went to the University of Washington.^[1]

DelBene lives in Medina, Washington.^[6] Medina is part of the area that she represents in Congress.
