The Chronicles of Narnia movie series are a series of movies created by Walden Media and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The movies are based on the series of fantasy novels of the same name written by British author C.S. Lewis. The first movie in the series, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, was released in 2005, and the second, Prince Caspian, was released in 2008. The third movie, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, was released in 2010. In January 2009, it was announced that Disney would not continue to distribute the Narnia movie series, thus The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was sent to 20th Century Fox. Fox will now distribute the Narnia movie series afterwards.
20th Century Fox was going to distribute The Silver Chair, but the film was cancelled.
