Timothy John McIntire (July 19, 1944 – April 15, 1986) was an American actor who is best known for playing the fictional character Alan Freed in the movie American Hot Wax (1978). He played Dickie in the 1968 pilot episode of All in the Family. But McIntire was replaced and the character's name was changed to "Michael Stivic". He is the son of John McIntire. McIntire had problems with alcohol and drugs and died on April 15, 1986 from congestive heart failure.
