Lake Como is a glacial lake in Lombardy, Italy. It has an area of 146 square kilometres (56 sq mi). It is the third largest lake in Italy. Varenna, Lierna, Bellagio, Menaggio, Limonta, and Tremezzo constitute the geographical area of the Central Lake Como, considered the most iconic and exclusive of Lake Como, and includes only the villages that have a view of the peninsula promontory of Bellagio.
