Wildpoldsried is a municipality in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria in Germany. The village has been awarded for reducing it's carbon footprint and using renewable energy. Wildpoldsried now produces 321 percent more energy than it needs. Last year it gained over 4 million euros of revenue.
