ఒరాంగ్ జాతీయ ఉద్యానవనం అస్సాం రాష్ట్రంలోని సోనీతిపూర్ జిల్లాలోని దారెంగ్ ప్రాంతంలో ఉంది. ఇది బ్రహ్మపుత్ర నది పరివాహక ప్రాంతంలో ఉంది.[1]

చరిత్ర
ఈ ఉద్యానవనాన్ని 1985 లో సంరక్షణ కేంద్రంగా స్థాపించారు. ఇది 78 కిలోమీటర్ల విస్తీర్ణంలో విస్తరించి ఉంది. 1900 సంవత్సర కాలంలో ఇక్కడ నివసించే గిరిజన జాతుల ప్రజలు ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని విడిచివెళ్లారు. 1919 లో ఈ ప్రాంతంలో బ్రిటిష్ ప్రభుత్వం ఒరాంగ్ గేమింగ్ కేంద్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. ఆ తర్వాత కాలంలో ఈ పార్క్ ప్రాంతాన్ని ప్రాజెక్ట్ టైగర్ సంరక్షణ ప్రాంతంగా మార్చారు. ఏప్రిల్ 13, 1985 న జాతీయ ఉద్యనవనంగా మార్చారు.[2]
