วิลเลียม เวิร์ดสเวิร์ธ

วิลเลียม เวิร์ดสเวิร์ธ (อังกฤษ: William Wordsworth; 7 เมษายน ค.ศ. 1770 - 23 เมษายน ค.ศ. 1850) เป็นกวีจินตนิยมชาวอังกฤษ ผู้เริ่มยุคจินตนิยมของวรรณกรรมอังกฤษร่วมกับแซมมวล เทย์เลอร์ คอเลริดจ์ ในปี ค.ศ. 1798 ด้วยงานตีพิมพ์ร่วมชื่อ Lyrical Ballads

งานที่ได้รับยกย่องว่าเป็นผลงานชิ้นเอกของเวิร์ดสเวิร์ธ คือ The Prelude บทกวีกึ่งอัตชีวประวัติในช่วงแรกในชีวิตของเขาซึ่งได้ผ่านการปรับปรุงแก้ไขและต่อเติมมาเป็นจำนวนหลายครั้ง ชื่อผลงานนี้ตั้งขึ้นในโอกาสที่ตีพิมพ์หลังจากเขาเสียชีวิตแล้ว ก่อนหน้านั้นมันเป็นที่รู้จักกันว่าเป็นบทกวี "แด่คอเลริดจ์" เวิร์ดสเวิร์ธได้รับตำแหน่ง Poet Laureate (กวีของรัฐ) ของบริเตนตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1843 จนกระทั่งเขาเสียชีวิตในปี ค.ศ. 1850
