NBA G League

NBA G League veya kısaca G League, National Basketball Association'ın (NBA) ikinci lig organizasyonudur. Lig, 31 takımdan oluşmaktadır ve 2024-25 sezonundan itibaren bağımsız Mexico City Capitanes haricinde, hepsi bir NBA takımına bağlı veya aittir.

Ligin eski logosu

2001 yılında Ulusal Basketbol Gelişim Ligi (NBDL) olarak kuruldu ve 2005 yılında NBA Gelişim Ligi (NBA D-League) olarak yeniden adlandırıldı. Bugünkü adını 2017 yılında Gatorade ile yapılan bir anlaşma kapsamında aldı ve bir reklam verenin adını taşıyan ilk ABD profesyonel spor ligi oldu.^[1][2]

Başlangıçta sekiz takımdan oluşan lig, 2005'ten sonra NBA komiseri David Stern'ün ligi gerçek bir alt lig farm sistemine dönüştürme planı çerçevesinde genişledi ve her takım bir ya da daha fazla NBA takımına bağlandı. 2014 yılının ortalarında NBA oyuncularının üçte biri ligde forma giydi. 2011'de bu oran %23'tü.

5. The original Erie BayHawks, at the time an affiliate of the Orlando Magic, were fully purchased and moved to Lakeland as the Lakeland Magic starting with the 2017 season. However, the Atlanta Hawks began operating their new development franchise in Erie, before moving it to College Park, Georgia, when their new arena at Georgia International Convention Center was completed. A third franchise began using the BayHawks' name with a new franchise owned by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019.
