世界标准日

世界标准日于每年的10月14日在世界各地庆祝。这个节日始于1970年，目的是为了向所有自愿为标准化做出贡献的数千名专家致上敬意。参与活动的标准化组织包括：国际电工委员会（IEC）, 国际标准化组织（ISO），国际电信联盟（ITU）, 电气电子工程师学会（IEEE）以及 互联网工程任务组（IETF）。世界标准日的目的是提升机构、工业及消费者对于标准化对全球经济的重要性意识。

历史

1946年10月14日，来自25国的65名代表在英国伦敦举行了会议，决议成立一个促进标准化的国际组织。国际标准化组织（ISO）在隔年正式成立。^[1]

ISO的总裁Faruk Sunter（土耳其）提倡举办国际标准日以强调标准化对全球经济的重要性。^[2]1969年9月，ISO理事会发布第1969/59号决议，将每年的10月14日订为世界标准日。国际标准日自1970年开始举行，初期由国际标准化组织（ISO）主办。国际电工委员会（IEC）与国际电信联盟（ITU）分别于1988年与1993年加入世界标准日的庆祝活动。

1986年开始，大会赋予每年世界标准日一项特定主题，以彰显标准化在人类生存发展各个不同重要面向上的特殊贡献。2001年，IEC、ISO及ITU共同成立了世界标准协会（The World Standards Cooperation,WSC），WSC每年会借由庆祝世界标准日的活动，提升大众对国际标准的认知。^{[3] [4]}
