医学术语

医学术语（英语：medical terminology）是用于描述人体生物（英语：Biological organisation）组成部分、过程、状况、医疗程序和治疗的语言。

在英语中，医学术语通常具有规则的语言形态学；相同的前缀和后缀用于为不同的词根添加含义。术语的词根通常指的是器官、组织或病症，并且医学词根和词缀（英语：List of medical roots and affixes）通常源自古希腊语或拉丁语（尤其是新拉丁语）。许多医学术语都是新古典主义复合词（英语：Neoclassical compound）的例子。 从历史上看，所有欧洲大学都使用拉丁语作为教学和研究的主要语言，因为新拉丁语是近代早期欧洲科学、医学和教育的通用语。

医学术语涵盖了很大一部分解剖学术语（英语：anatomical terminology），其中包括解剖学方位（位置）术语、运动（英语：Anatomical terms of motion）、肌肉（英语：Anatomical terms of muscle）、骨骼（英语：Anatomical terms of bone）和组织学。它还涵盖了生物学、化学、物理学和生理学的语言，以及医学领域独有的词汇，例如医学缩写。 每个医学分支都有自己的临床和科学术语。医学词典是专门的医学术语词典，可以按字母顺序排列，也可以按照医学分类（英语：Medical classification）系统（例如医学系统命名法（英语：Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine）、国际疾病分类或统一医学语言系统）排列。
