原鼻白蚁属（Prorhinotermes）隶属于蜚蠊目（Blattodea）鼻白蚁科（Rhinotermitidae），为鼻白蚁科中最基群的一属，工蚁为成熟幼蚁（Pseudergate），又叫假工蚁；兵蚁单形性；具补充繁殖型。
