生平

1987年在黎子良教授指导下拿到哥伦比亚大学博士学位，1997年到2001年成为罗格斯大学统计研究所所长。他广泛的研究领域包括生存分析，顺序分析，纵向数据分析，随机过程，半参数模型，生物统计学和教育统计学。他是多个期刊的编辑或联合编辑。1995年被选为国际数理统计学会会士，1999年被选为美国统计学会会士，2004年拿到晨兴数学奖。

他已经在专业期刊上撰写或共同撰写了超过100篇研究论文。
