沃尔特·比德尔·“甲壳虫”·史密斯（英语：Walter Bedell "Beetle" Smith，1895年10月5日—1961年8月9日）是美国陆军退役四星上将、政治家、外交官、中情局局长。他曾在突尼斯战役和入侵意大利期间担任盟军司令部艾森豪威尔将军的参谋长。后在1944年到1945年，为欧洲盟军远征军最高司令部艾森豪威尔总帅的参谋长。1946年任驻苏联大使，1949年任第1集团军司令；1950年任美国中央情报局局长，1954年退休。

生平
1911年，史密斯以二等兵军阶在印第安纳州国民警卫队入伍。 在第一次世界大战期间，他于1917年任官为少尉并于1918年在第二次马恩河战役中受伤。战争结束后，他成为美国陆军步兵学校（也称本宁堡步兵学校）的参谋及讲师。1941年，他成为陆军总参谋秘书，第二年他成为“联合参谋长团”（Combined Chiefs of Staff）的秘书. 他的职责包括参与最高级别的讨论，史密斯还常向罗斯福总统汇报战略部署。
