汤姆·斯托帕德

汤姆·斯托帕德爵士 OM CBE（英语：Sir Tom Stoppard，1937年7月3日—），原名托马斯·施特劳斯勒（捷克语：Tomáš Straussler），英国剧作家，曾获得奥斯卡金像奖。史塔伯德著名的剧本包括《The Coast of Utopia》、《The Real Thing》、《Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead》，他也有写电影《Brazil》与《莎翁情史》的剧本。

早年生活

史塔佩于1937年出生于捷克，1939年3月15日，史塔佩一家为了躲避纳粹的侵入，跟其他的犹太人搬到了新加坡，然而，1941年，日军侵入新加坡，史塔佩一家又再度撤退到印度去，只是史塔佩与他的母亲以及兄弟平安到达，父亲Eugene Straussler则是被日军于日军监狱营中处死。
他1943-1946三年内在印度喜马拉雅山大吉岭的寄宿学校度过。 1946年，史塔佩母亲Martha选择改嫁给英国上校Kenneth Stoppard，二次世界大战结束后，全家移民到英国。于是他便在诺丁汉和约克郡的学校接受教育。
史塔佩在17岁之后就放弃求学，选择走出社会。先是成为一名记者，再成为一名戏剧评论家，然后在1960年正式成为一名戏剧作家。

生活

史塔佩有过两次婚姻，第一次是娶了护士Josie Ingle，时间为1965年至1972年；第二次是娶了Miriam Stoppard，时间为1972年到1992年。史塔佩在这两次婚姻中生了两个儿子，威尔·史塔佩和艾德·史塔佩。
