瘤虾虎鱼亚科

瘤虾虎鱼亚科（学名：Benthophilinae）是虾虎鱼科之下的一个亚科，原生于东欧大草原一带的内陆海（包括：马尔马拉海、黑海、亚速海、里海及咸海）^[1]。本亚科包括有约五十个物种。 The representatives of the subfamily have fused pelvic fins and 拉长了的背鳍和臀鳍与尾鳍相连，前后背鳍有鳍膜相连^[2]

本亚科与有密切关连的虾虎鱼亚科的分别在于：本亚科物种的鱼鳔在成长后会消失；另外它们也没有location of the uppermost rays of the pectoral fins within the fin membrane.^[3]。但截至2017年2月 (2017-02)^[update]，Catalog of Fishes仍然只承认虾虎鱼科传统的五个亚科，依然把本亚科的物种归入虾虎鱼亚科^[4]。
