形态特征

细莞属主要为一年生草本植物，少数多年生植物，部分种类具有根状茎。秆丛生，呈圆柱状。叶子主要基生，数量较少，无叶舌。总苞为叶状，姿态平展或直立；花序通常为头状，有时退化为单一小穗。鳞片呈螺旋状排列，花为两性，雄蕊数量为1至3枚，花柱基部不膨大或仅稍膨大，且宿存，柱头数量为2或3枚。^[2]

细莞属的小坚果为三棱形或双凸状，表面具有瘤状凸起或纵棱。该属在全球广布，分布范围较广，在中国甘肃、江西、宁夏、青海、陕西、四川、西藏、新疆及云南等地均有发现，约有1个种类。^[2]
