生平

1946年，马林出生在美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶，母亲叫埃尔莎，父亲叫奥斯卡·马林，在洛杉矶警察局工作。^[1][2][3]马林出生之后是兔唇，后修复。^[4]马林会讲西班牙语。马林的昵称“切奇”，来源于墨西哥一道小吃炸猪肉皮。

马林曾在加州的圣费尔南多谷读高中，大学在加州州立大学北岭分校度过。^[5]1967年，马林搬迁到加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚的温哥华，以躲避越南战争。^[6]在温哥华，马林结识了自己未来的喜剧搭档汤米·庄。

个人生活

1975年，马林和达琳·莫理结婚，他们有一个孩子，1984年两人离婚。^[7]

1986年，马林和帕蒂结婚，他们有2个孩子。^[8]

2009年8月8日，马林和俄罗斯钢琴家娜塔莎·鲁宾结婚，现在居住在加州。^[9][10]
