Yellow Submarine(黄色潜水艇)是英国乐团 The Beatles 于1966年发行的的歌曲，由 Paul 创作及由 Ringo 主唱。它被收录在 Revolver 中和以单曲发行。

创作
当Paul获得其创作灵感时，他正住在珍妮·阿什家人的屋中。他如此描述其经历[4]：
I was laying in bed in the Ashers' garret... I was thinking of it as a song for Ringo, which it eventually turned out to be, so I wrote it as not too rangey in the vocal, then started making a story, sort of an ancient mariner, telling the young kids where he'd lived. It was pretty much my song as I recall... I think John helped out. The lyrics got more and more obscure as it goes on, but the chorus, melody and verses are mine.

It's a happy place, that's all. You know, it was just... We were trying to write a children's song. That was the basic idea. And there's nothing more to be read into it than there is in the lyrics of any children's song.[4][7]

Yellow Submarine 由乔治·马丁监制，1966年5月26日于艾比路录音室2号房录音，前后共录了五次，6月1日加上特别效果[6]。歌曲中的滑稽音效都是由乔治·马丁加上，以营造航海的气氛[8]，如铁链、海浪、风声、水声。此外John在水中吹气造出气泡的声音，他与 Paul 在铁罐中对话扮演船长与船员沟通，Ringo 在录音室外大喊 Cut the cable! Drop the cable! 等等[6]。
在歌词 and the band begins to play (然后乐队开始演奏)后，加插了一小段配乐。此配乐为一段经加工的铜管乐，但有人相信这是1906年的 Le Reve Passe[6]。此外，原本 Ringo 在歌曲开首作简短介绍，但于6月3日被剪掉[6]。
发行
Yellow Submarine 是 The Beatles 在英国发行的第13张单曲，于8月5日与 Eleanor Rigby 以双A面出售，在美国则于8月8日出售。一日后 Revolver 发行[9]。
在美国的反应
此单曲在四星期内卖了1,200,000张，并获得The Beatles第21项金唱片奖。
它在告示牌百强单曲榜中排第二、Record World 杂志排第一、Cashbox 杂志排第二[6]。或许它得不到第一是因为＂屠夫封面＂（Yesterday and Today 专辑的封面）的争议[6]和 John＂比耶稣更受欢迎＂的言论[10]。

来自卡梅尔·莱尔德造船厂的学徒造了一个51尺(16米)长的黄色潜水艇金属雕像，庆祝1984年的国际园艺博览会。2005年它被安放于利物浦约翰·列侬机场，直至现在。
翻唱
1966年芬兰的 Simo & Spede 翻唱为“黄色破冰船”﹝芬兰语：Keltainen Jäänsärkijä﹞。
瑞典歌手 Per Myrberg 在1966年10月以“黄色、黄色、黄色是我们的潜水艇”﹝瑞典语：Gul gul gul är vår undervattensbåt﹞翻唱，摇滚乐队 Hjalle & Heavy 在1998年以“黄色潜水艇”﹝瑞典语：Gul ubåt﹞翻唱。他们将歌词直译作瑞典语，而不转变其旋律。
1966年，法国的莫里斯·舍瓦利耶以“绿色潜水艇”﹝法语：Le Sous-Marin Vert﹞翻唱[12][13]。
Mrs. Miller 和 Black Dyke Mills Band 在1966和1968年也有翻唱。2002年 Roots Manuva 在 Badmeaningood 2 专辑中以说唱形式翻唱[14]。Raffi 在他的专辑 Let's Play 中亦唱了这歌，以及皇家爱乐乐团以管弦乐形式将其重现[15]。
儿童节目中也用到这首歌，如 Fun Song Factory 和芝麻街。
