开普敦有色人种是南非一种混合人种，由布须曼人、班图人、高加索人种（荷兰人、德国人）、马拉加什人与印尼人混合而成。人口大约四百万，他们母语是南非语，也有说英语。信仰上80%是基督徒，5%是穆斯林。他们不只分布于南非，纳米比亚与辛巴威也有他们。
