哈里·查理斯·卢克

哈里·查理斯·卢克爵士（英语：Sir Harry Charles Luke KCMG；1884年12月4日—1969年5月11日^[1]），大英帝国行政官员，曾在巴巴多斯、塞浦路斯、外高加索、塞拉利昂、巴勒斯坦、马耳他、英属西太平洋领地及斐济任职。

生平

1884年，卢克出生于伦敦。其父为美籍奥匈帝国犹太人^[1]，其母为波兰天主教贵族。卢克在伊顿公学及牛津大学三一书院接受教育。

1920年，卢克首次到访巴勒斯坦地区（以色列地），并在耶路撒冷区民政部门任职。

1924年，卢克赴塞拉利昂担任辅政司，后于1928年7月19日被调回巴勒斯坦托管地（今以色列）署理高级专员一职。

在巴勒斯坦托管地任职期间，卢克立场偏向阿拉伯人，对犹太人则充满敌意。他一直隐瞒自己的父系犹太血统，还嘱咐亲戚不要对外透露此事。

1929年，托管地阿拉伯人以西墙祈祷权事宜为由发起暴动，传谣称“犹太人将攻击阿克萨清真寺”，并以棍棒刀具袭击犹太人。有133名犹太人遭阿拉伯暴徒屠杀，另有数百名犹太人受伤。卢克对此等暴行姑息纵容，不加制止，反倒诬称“犹太人袭击阿拉伯人在先”，并下令查封希伯来语报章，激起民愤。

1930年6月，卢克任马耳他布政司。七年任期中，他撰写了一本有关马耳他历史的书籍。

1969年，卢克于塞浦路斯离世，终年85岁。
