粗尾袋鼠亚科

粗尾袋鼠亚科（学名：Sthenurinae），又名短脸袋鼠亚科，是袋鼠科之下的一个亚科。本亚科已没有现生种，所有物种皆已早于更新世后期就已灭绝。本亚科物种的体型差异极大，其中Procoptodon goliah是整个袋鼠科体型最大的物种，而Procoptodon gilli的体型则非常小，接近小型的小袋鼠。

语源

本亚科的学名源于拉丁文的Sthenurus，意思就是“粗壮的尾巴”。
