生平

1987年在黎子良教授指導下拿到哥倫比亞大學博士學位，1997年到2001年成為羅格斯大學統計研究所所長。他廣泛的研究領域包括生存分析，順序分析，縱向數據分析，隨機過程，半參數模型，生物統計學和教育統計學。他是多個期刊的編輯或聯合編輯。1995年被選為國際數理統計學會會士，1999年被選為美國統計學會會士，2004年拿到晨興數學獎。

他已經在專業期刊上撰寫或共同撰寫了超過100篇研究論文。
