王慕道

王慕道，台灣數學家，哥倫比亞大學數學教授。2022年成為中央研究院院士，2012年成為美國數學學會會士。^[1]

生平

1984年，王慕道進入國立台灣大學學習，最初專業是國際商務，一年後轉到數學專業。1988年，他獲得了國立台灣大學學士學位。4年後，他獲得了國立台灣大學碩士學位。1998年，他獲得了哈佛大學數學博士學位，論文題為「廣義諧映射和離散群的表示」，導師是菲爾茲獎得主、微分幾何學家丘成桐。

2001年，王慕道成為了哥倫比亞大學的助理教授，2009年成為教授。而在加入哥倫比亞大學之前，他是斯坦福大學的Szego助理教授。^[2]
