索林·波帕

索林·特奧多爾·波帕（英語：Sorin Teodor Popa 1953年3月24日—）是一位羅馬尼亞裔美籍數學家，主要研究算子代數。波帕現任加州大學洛杉磯分校教授。^[1]

生平

1983年在布加勒斯特大學獲得數學博士學位，導師為Dan-Virgil Voiculescu。^[2]迄今在加州大學洛杉磯分校輔導了15名博士畢業生，包括Adrian Ioana。

榮譽

1990年波帕被選為京都國際數學會議（ICM）演講人，演講題目為《Subfactors and Classifications in von Neumann algebras》。1995年他成為古根海姆協會會員^[3]。2006年波帕在馬德里國際數學會議（ICM）上做全體演講，題目為《Deformation and Rigidity for group actions and Von Neumann Algebras》^[4]。2009年波帕獲得奧斯特洛夫斯基獎。波帕還是美國數學學會的現任會員之一^[5]。
