個人生活
莫利亞·蘿絲·佩雷拉於1995年1月1日出生於美國麻薩諸塞州的首都波士頓。[4][5][6] 她在年幼時曾想成為一名Rockette並於她學了11年的舞蹈中學習成長。[7][8] 她原本的髮色為棕黑色。[9]
15歲時，Poppy離開家鄉前往洛杉磯以發展自己的演藝事業。
事業
早期於2014年，Poppy會於社交軟體的公司舉辦的活動中表演，其中包含2012年6月的VidCon以及2013年6月的DigiTour。[10] 起初Poppy在網路上發表自己的翻唱歌曲已開始她的音樂事業。

Poppy moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue her musical career.[11] There she teamed up with director Corey Michael Mixter,[12] known by his stage name Titanic Sinclair, to make a series of abstract promotional videos on a YouTube channel originally titled "thatPoppyTV". The channel is now simply known as "Poppy". As of April 2018, the channel is actively uploading videos and has attracted a large audience. In 2015, she signed to Island Records under the name That Poppy and released her debut song, "Everybody Wants to Be Poppy", in June of that year.[13] She performed at the Corona Capital Festival in November 2015.[14][15] She released the song, "Lowlife", a month after releasing her first single "Everybody Wants to Be Poppy" and released her first EP, a four-track pop record called Bubblebath, on Island in February 2016.[16][17] In August 2016, she released a series of advertisements for the shoe company Steve Madden on her channel as a part of its Steve Madden Music program.[18]
In October 2016, Poppy released an experimental ambient music album called 3:36 (Music to Sleep To), composed by Titanic Sinclair and herself, with assistance from polysomnographists from the Washington University School of Medicine.[19]
In November 2016, she became the face of Japanese retailer Sanrio's first "Hello Sanrio" collection.

莫利亞的YouTube頻道創建於2011年10月6日，目前能看到最早的影片，是於2014年11月由辛克萊編制的一部名為"Poppy Eats Cotton Candy"的短片。這些影片因為風格奇怪、特殊，令它們在網路上受到熱烈的討論。
