查爾斯·克拉克 (植物學家)

查爾斯·克拉克（Charles M. Clarke）是專業從事於豬籠草屬食蟲植物的植物學家與分類學家。克拉克出生於澳大利亞墨爾本。他獲得了墨爾本莫納什大學（Monash University）的生物學榮譽學位，同時還在新南威爾斯阿米代爾的新英格蘭大學（University of New England）取得了生態系統管理博士學位。

克拉克第一次到婆羅洲研究豬籠草是在1987年。1989年至1990年，他生活在汶萊以研究豬籠草屬植物的生態問題。在這兩次旅行間，克拉克還曾在昆士蘭州的詹姆斯·庫克大學（James Cook University）任教生態學和生物統計學，同時還在香港擔任園藝顧問。

克拉克現就任於莫納什大學馬來西亞分校。^[1]克拉克已完成了五本關於豬籠草屬的著作，其中最重要的是《婆羅洲的豬籠草屬植物》（Nepenthes of Borneo）和《蘇門答臘島與西馬來西亞的豬籠草》（Nepenthes of Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia）。

克拉克描述了5個豬籠草屬物種，分別為本斯通豬籠草（Nepenthes benstonei）、陳氏豬籠草（Nepenthes chaniana）、泉氏豬籠草（Nepenthes izumiae）、賈桂琳豬籠草（Nepenthes jacquelineae）和堅韌豬籠草（Nepenthes tenax）。
