街庄原名
原屬港東上里之潮州庄、崙仔頂庄、五魁藔庄、八老爺庄、檨仔腳庄、四林庄[1]
行政區劃
潮州街轄域內分為潮州、崙子頂、五魁寮、八老爺、檨子腳、四林六個大字。
1920年~1936年間為潮州庄，1936年升格為潮州街。
