瑪麗亞·范克爾霍夫

瑪麗亞·德約瑟夫·范克爾霍夫（英語：Maria DeJoseph Van Kerkhove，1977年2月20日—），美國傳染病流行病學家，擁有應對高致病性病原體經驗，專長對付新興及重新出現的傳染病。現隸屬於世界衛生組織突發衛生事件計劃（英語：Health Emergencies Program）^[1]，為世衛組織2019冠狀病毒病應對小組技術負責人、新興疾病與人畜共通傳染病部門主任^[2][3]。

瑪麗亞·范克爾霍夫原名瑪麗亞·羅珊妮·德約瑟夫，出生於美國紐約州新哈特福德^[4][5][6][7]，1999年獲康奈爾大學生物學理學學士學位^[8]；2000年獲史丹福醫學院流行病學理學碩士學位；2009年獲倫敦衛生與熱帶醫學院傳染疾病流行病學哲學博士學位，學位論文研究柬埔寨的禽流感疫情^[9]。

2000至2005年，任科學諮詢機構Exponent（英語：Exponent (consulting firm)）紐約健康科學業務部的高級流行病學家，之後任巴斯德研究院柬埔寨分院流行病學家，為博士學位進行H5N1流感的實地研究。

2009至2015年，任倫敦帝國學院醫學研究理事會疫情分析與建模中心（Medical Research Council Centre for Outbreak Analysis and Modelling）高級研究院，專長伊波拉出血熱、腦膜炎、中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒和黃熱病。2009年4月，擔任世界衛生組織全球能力、警報與響應群組（Global Capacities, Alert and Response Cluster）技術顧問^[10]。2013年，任世衛組織中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒專責小組技術顧問^[11]。

2015至2017年任巴斯德研究院全球健康中心（Institut Pasteur's Center for Global Health）疫情研究專責小組（Outbreak Investigation Task Force）主任，負責寨卡病毒、中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒、伊波拉病毒和馬爾堡病毒等人畜共通傳染病、呼吸道病毒及新興/重現病毒的實地研究^[12]，也專門負責搜集高致病性禽流感甲型流感病毒H5N1亞型（HPAI/H5N1）數據的實地研究，關注病毒從家禽到人類的傳播風險^[10]。

2015年起任倫敦帝國學院榮譽講師^[10]。2017年3月起擔任世衛組織中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒技術專家。2019冠狀病毒病疫情期間出席世衛組織的日常記者大會^[2][13]，解答公眾對疫情問題的疑惑。2020年2月，范克爾霍夫前往中國了解當地的2019冠狀病毒病疫情影響，以及政府控制病毒所採取的措施^[1]。

范克爾霍夫與丈夫尼爾（Neil）和兩個兒子住在瑞士日內瓦^[6]。
