Giân-gú (言語[1]), he̍k-chiá gú-giân (gí-giân, 語言), ōe-gí (話語)[2] a̍h-sī ōe (話)[3], sī 1 thò tāi-piáu kap thoân-ta̍t ì-gī ê hē-thóng. Giân-gú ū kiat-kò͘, pau-koat gí-hoat, siaⁿ-ūn. Giân-gú thàu-kòe hû-hō thoân-ta̍t; hû-hō ê mûi-kài pau-koat siaⁿ-im, chhiú-sè, piáu-chêng, chu-sè, bûn-jī...téng-téng.
