高加索塔蒂人使用塔特語，是西伊朗亞語支（英語：Western Iranian languages）下的一種語言，與標準波斯語有所不同。^[4]^[5]他們也使用阿塞拜疆語和俄語。宗教信仰主要是什葉派，少部分為遜尼派。
